In collaboration with Nebraska Extension, Ruth Staples Lab, and the National Wildlife Federation, our team is using community-based research methods to identify and evaluate key strategies for improving access to nature- and greenspaces in underserved early childhood programs. We are looking for driven, organized, and detail-oriented undergraduate research assistants who are interested in any of the following topics: psychology, architecture/design, research methods, early childhood practitioner development, and the impact of nature on child development. You will be trained in research methods and data collection procedures that include assessing social-emotional and executive function variables, behavioral mapping, and qualitative audio/video (e.g. GoPros) capture and coding. This position is a volunteer position with the possibility of a paid position in the future. Must have access to a password protected computer with Zoom.
